Day #4 in the Pink

Day 4 in the Pink Dress Up Did you know that all color has meaning both positive and negative?  The locker room of the opposing team at the University of Iowa was once painted PINK.

Pink can give a feeling of fragility.  Although the color is derived from the primary color red, it does not evoke the same emotion.  Pink (light pink) can mean romantic but it can also give the feeling of fragilility, a delicate tenderness.  RED evokes enormous amounts of energy, signifies DANGER and is recognized as “power”.  Consider what color a “power tie” is!

Today I am feeling “energetic”.   It’s Sunday and the First Sunday of the Month, so I’m dressing UP today…. This is kind of fuzzy, but the skirt is a houndstooth pattern and the jacket is a vibrant pink (obviously) heavy silk and linen-almost too “springy” to wear now, but it’s a great transition piece.

Don’t forget to join us Tuesday night at “Trends with Friends” at the Atlanta Art Institute.

Still looking for some PINK suede Pumps.  Found these last night.  Do you think these are “pink” enough???    These are from Marmi and are their VanEli Brand shoes. I kind of like??
